The upcoming White Boy Rick tells the true-life story of a blue-collar worker and his son Rick Wershe, AKA ‘White Boy Rick,” a teenage FBI informant turned drug dealer in Detroit during the height of the city’s crack epidemic in the 1980’s. Directed by Yann Demange, the film stars Matthew McConaughey, Richie Merritt, Bruce Dern, Eddie Marsan, and Jennifer Jason Leigh, and open in theatres on September 14th.
