’77 Montreal
Parc Jean-Drapeau
July 27, 2018
’77 Montreal returned for its second edition on Friday, July 27th, offering up a full day of punk, ska, and hardcore, from classic 70’s vets The Rezillos to young locals Pussy Stench.
Expanding this year to include a third stage, this year’s festival also led directly into Heavy Montreal on Saturday and Sunday, for a full three day takeover of punk and metal at the scenic Parc Jean-Drapeau.
Below you can check out photos from the day courtesy of Jason Hughes. We spoke to a number of acts before the festival, including Don Letts, Steve Ignorant, The Interrupters, No Policy (who played their first show in three decades at the fest), The Interrupters and Suicidal Tendencies — all those interviews can be found here.
