Watch: The first trailer for Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria “reimagining” is here

The first trailer for Suspiria is finally here!

The highly anticipated reimagining of the Dario Argento horror classic is helmed by Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name) and stars Dakota Johnson as a young dancer who encounters a dark underbelly at her prestigious dance company. The film also stars Mia Goth, Chloe Grace Moretz, original Suspiria star Jessica Harper, and Tilda Swinton.

While horror remakes and “reimaginings” are often a mixed back, the buzz on Suspiria has been incredibly strong, from a CinemaCon screening that had the press raving, to reports that star Dakota Johnson had to undergo therapy following the emotionally draining filming.

See for yourself in the below trailer, which also features the first snippets of Thom Yorke’s score for the film. Suspiria opens in theatres November 2.
