Following days of rumours and some intense fan sleuthing, The Montreal Gazette has confirmed that U2 will be using Laval’s Place Bell arena to rehearse for their upcoming Innocence + Experience tour.
Astute fans noticed that rental trucks U2 has used in the past begin rolling into Place Bell yesterday, which set of a flurry of fan detective work on U2 message boards. Neither the arena, evenko or Live Nation has confirmed the band’s presence in the Montreal suburb yet.
If you don’t happen to catch a glimpse of Bono or The Edge at Joe Beef in the coming weeks, the next chance to see the band in action is only a few months away when U2 takes over the Bell Centre on June 5 & 6. Tickets for those shows are available here. For all upcoming tour dates visit the band’s official site.
