Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. is now four albums deep into his solo career, with his latest, 2018’s Francis Trouble (Red Bull), based on his Mother’s miscarriage of what would have been his twin brother. Despite the heavy subject matter, Francis Trouble is mostly an upbeat album, filled with catchy bright melodies and Hammond’s trademark buzzsaw guitar.

He played most of that new album during his return to Montreal on Easter Monday, while touching back to each of his previous LPs and even throwing in a Guided By Voices cover during the encore.

Below you can check out photos of the set courtesy of Cecile Lopes. For all upcoming tour dates visit Hammond’s official site.
