Café Campus
March 31, 2018
30 + years into their career, Reverend Horton Heat remains one of the most dependable live bands on the planet. Best known for bringing psychobilly to the masses, the revved-up offspring of traditional rockabilly, frontman and band leader Jim Heath has expanded the band’s sound over the decades to encompass elements of country and roots rock, without ever losing the punk energy that fueled their early recordings.
With no new record to support (their last album, REV, came out in 2014), the band tore through a set list at Montreal’s Café Campus on Saturday night that touched on most eras of their discography, including fan favourites like “Five-O Ford” and the obligatory “It’s Martini Time” in the encore.
Below you can check out photos from the band’s set courtesy of Vitor Munhoz. The Rev. have plenty of upcoming tour dates that keep them on the road all through the summer — for all upcoming dates visit the band’s official site.
