’77 Montreal
Parc Jean Drapeau
July 28, 2017
The inaugural ’77 Montreal hit Parc Jean Drapeau on Friday, July 28, offering up 11 hours of continuous punk music including sets from Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, X, The Vandals, The Bouncing Souls, Jake Burns, Madball, Joyce Manor, The Creepshow, The Kingpins, Genetic Control, Barrasso and Pale Lips.
Alongside the bands, there was also a poster archive displaying punk flyers from Montreal’s past, a cinema screening classic punk films, and a kid’s zone featuring a giant inflatable slide.
Below you can check out photos from the show by Vitor Munhoz. Be sure to also check out our career-spanning interviews with X and Genetic Control for some great history on the early LA and Montreal punk scenes.
