Following a pair of sold-out shows at Toronto’s Molson Canadian Amphitheatre (and more importantly, receiving their very own nacho platter tribute), City and Colour returned to Montreal last night to perform before their largest-ever headline crowd here.

The Centre Bell might not seem like the best match for singer/songwriter Dallas Green’s achingly intimate material, but the band’s massive success has them firmly in the arena camp these days.

The band’s generous 19-track setlist featured the majority of their recent If I should Go Before You LP, along with a cover of The Tragically Hip’s “Bob Cagen,” in tribute to frontman Gord Downie’s recent cancer announcement.

Below you can check out photos from their set, courtesy of Jason Hughes. The band have a number of Canadian and US dates coming up over the next few months – for all tour dates, visit cityandcolour.com.
