Pokey Lafarge takes his commitment to American roots rock seriously. From the mass of vintage gear on stage at yesterday’s show at Théâtre Corona, to the night’s eclectic mix of energetic ragtime, swing, blues and country, it’s obvious that Lafarge’s infatuation with all forms of early American roots music is genuine, and his commitment to representing that material in a live context is basically unrivaled.
