D.C. hardcore legends Bad Brains have released a short statement on band guitarist Gary “Dr. Know” Miller’s recent hospitalization.
Earlier this week, a number of musicians including Dean Ween and Living Color vocalist Corey Glover took to social media to offer their best wishes for the guitarist, with some mentioning that he was currently on life support. While the band haven’t revealed any specific details about Miller’s situation, today they asked for fans to keep him in their thoughts and prayers. Below is the band’s statement in full:
“The Bad Brains family ask that you please keep Gary (Dr. Know) Miller in your thoughts and prayers. The family respectfully ask that their privacy be honored during this time and very much appreciate all the great energy that is being sent their way. Positive vibes and PMA!”
Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery. In the meantime, check out some classic Bad Brains footage below and then crank Rock for Light as loud as you can.
