Nearly four months after Cult of Luna were forced to postpone their North American tour, the Swedish post-rock band finally played Montreal last night, with the mighty psychedelic sludge rock of Virginia’s Kylesa in tow. The bill was rounded out by Boston’s inAeona and Montreal’s own C H R I S T (locals USA Out of Vietnam were forced to drop off the bill due to an injury).

Both Cult of Luna and Kylesa each have two drummers, and each band played in near darkness, creating a moody sonic assault that definitely made up for the four month wait.

For all upcoming tour dates, visit the Cult of Luna and Kylesa web sites.
