Bad Feeling Magazine Podcast # 27 with Steve Von Till (Neurosis)

Steve Von Till from Neurosis is on the podcast!

Neurosis began as a straight forward hardcore-punk band in Oakland, California in 1985, and have transitioned into a slower and heavier doom sound over the years, becoming one of the most influential underground bands during the process.

Steve recently released his fourth solo LP, A Life Unto Itself, on his own Neurot RecordingsA Life Unto Itself is a haunting record that combines sparse acoustic work with psychedelic and post-punk elements, set to Steve’s intimate raspy vocals. It’s by far the most expansive sounding of his solo records, and not too far off musically from what Neurosis has been doing the last few years.

We speak to the Neurosis vocalist / guitarist about A Life Unto Itself, his life as a teacher in Idaho, how Neurosis has evolved over the years, the future of the band, and much more.

Neurosis is currently out on their largest tour in years, including stops in Toronto on August 6th, and Heavy Montreal on August 7th. For all tour dates, visit www.neurosis.com. You can get more info on A Life Unto Itself over at neurotrecordings.com.
