Check out a series of nightmare-inducing photos from Skinny Puppy’s wildly theatrical tour
Skinny Puppy have been at it for over 30 years, and are still a thoroughly disturbing live act. Vancouver’s reigning kings of weirdness headlined a solid bill of industrial / goth rock at Metropolis on November 29th, featuring support from fellow Vancouverites Frontline Assembly, the noise punk of Youth Code, and the dance rhythms of Germany’s Haujobb. Frontline Assembly were formed when Bill Leeb split off from Skinny Puppy back in 1986, making the inclusion of both bands on the same bill a special treat for fans who grew up with their dark take on industrial electronica.
Skinny Puppy continue to be an incredibly eerie live experience, with frontman Nivek Ogre delivering the creeps in spades through his series of elaborate and unsettling costumes. Scroll down to check out photos of each band’s set, courtesy of Jason Hughes (www.jasonhughesphoto.com).
