Northern Ireland’s Stiff Little Fingers, one of punk rock’s most influential bands, have announced a number of new tour dates, including a Montreal stop at Cafe Campus on September 15.
The band are touring behind No Going Back, their first release in 10 years, which was finally released in March after a successful crowd-funding effort via Pledge Music. While the band have gone through a number of lineup changes over the decades, inimitable vocalist Jake Burns is still at the helm, and original bassist Ali McMordie is also back on board, which bodes well for this coming tour. There are precious few bands from the first wave of punk still making the rounds, and even fewer who still maintain the power and relevance of SLF, if their recent hometown gig this year is any indication.
Still Little Fingers have a number of upcoming dates on The Summer Nationals tour with Bad Religion, Pennywise, and The Offspring this Summer, before embarking on their solo tour in the Fall.
