Unless you’ve been living under a rock, chances are you’ve heard of Divergent, the new futuristic blockbuster film based off of the massively-popular young adult book trilogy by Veronica Lake, about a dystopian Chicago where the population is segregated into factions based on their personas.
The film stars current it-girl Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Miles Teller, and Kate Winslet, and is also the first major US role for UK actor Ben Lloyd-Hughes, who is featured on the this episode of the Bad Feeling Podcast.
Ben has had an interesting career in the UK so far, including work on television shows like the beloved teen-drama Skins, and a number of proper British period-pieces, including last year’s Great Expectations.
We spoke to Ben about making the transition from period-pieces to a Hollywood blockbuster, why he’s dropped Twitter, getting pranked on-set, stealing from Harrison Ford, and a lot more.
